Hello
Aaikyam is a yoga & ayurveda wellness initiative focused on women who feel a lack of joy, spark, youth, good health & harmony within themselves. It's for women who want to redeem their “own” self as they grapple through the daily experiences of playing different roles & life stages: Daughter, Wife, Mother, Mother to be. I help these women on a path of self-discovery, by encouraging them to take the journey inward with the help of ancient Indian sciences. At Aaikyam, we want to empower women on a journey of self-discovery, understand their true nature and find harmony & oneness with themselves and the universe. After all, the health of a woman greatly influences the health of her home.
Vision of Aaikyam
To reach out to the millions of women across the globe for them to experience Aaikyam – oneness & harmony within themselves and the universe by embarking on a journey of getting closer to oneself one step at a time.
My Story
I am Riddhi, born and brought up in Bombay, now in Amsterdam for the past few years with my husband and our darling daughter. Working in marketing for over 10 years, I found myself constantly seeking a deeper meaning and purpose to the hours I spend at work. I wanted to spend my ‘wakeful hours’ more meaningfully where I can create value for myself and others around me, especially women. So, one day after much soul searching, I decided to quit my salaried job and find my true calling.
This decision inspired in part by the life my mother lives, focused on good health, simple nutritional food, ayurvedic principles & minimizing waste. Since childhood these have been practiced in our household and hence deeply ingrained in the way I like to live my life. In the process of finding a new career, I was also inspired to do good by my beloved family doctor – The late Dr C.D. Bhat, whom I thought of as my maternal grandfather. His selfless and generous heart, left me perplexed if I can ever truly express my gratitude towards him for all that he did for my parents, my husband, me, the community and mankind. When he left us, as I was grieving, I realized that the greatest joy for mankind is to be in service to others.

Inspired by people around me, I went on a journey to study yoga and Ayurveda to answer some of my own questions and bring some peace within.
After 2 years of study, I am an internationally certified Hatha Yoga Teacher, a certified prenatal yoga teacher and a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree (M. Sc.) in Yoga.
